1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using VerifiedCPD ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service.
2. Service Description
VerifiedCPD provides a platform that enables users to convert online educational videos into verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificates through engagement tracking and completion verification.
3. Jurisdictional Limitations
IMPORTANT NOTICE: VerifiedCPD is designed exclusively for jurisdictions that accept self-directed verifiable CPD, specifically: Canada (CPA Canada), United Kingdom (ACCA, ICAEW, etc.), and Australia (CPA Australia, CA ANZ).
US CPA WARNING: VerifiedCPD is NOT a NASBA-approved provider. Our certificates DO NOT qualify for US CPE credit requirements. US CPAs should not purchase this service for CPE compliance purposes.
4. Eligibility
To use our Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal capacity to enter binding contracts.
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials.
5. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. Accounts are for individual use only and sharing is prohibited.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not share your account, attempt to bypass engagement requirements, use the service for any illegal purpose, or resell certificates. You are responsible for selecting appropriate content and ensuring it meets your professional body's requirements.
7. Educational Content Disclaimer
VerifiedCPD does not create, control, or endorse the educational content of third-party videos. All content is for educational and informational purposes only. We do not offer legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice.
8. Payment Terms
Pricing is available on our website and is subject to change. Payments are processed by Stripe upon registration and renew annually unless cancelled. For refunds, please see our separate Refund Policy.
9. Certificate Generation
To receive a certificate, you must watch the complete video and respond to all engagement checkpoints in one session. You are responsible for maintaining your own CPD records.
10. Intellectual Property
All Service features and design remain our exclusive property. You retain rights to your account information and grant us a license to use your name on certificates.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide the service "as is" and disclaim all warranties. Our total liability shall not exceed your annual subscription fee.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Cayman Islands. Any disputes will be first attempted to be resolved via email, followed by binding arbitration in the Cayman Islands if necessary.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, access ceases immediately and no refund will be provided for unused time.
